Forest Green Muga Stripe Silk Saree with Silver Tissue Pallu
-
Forest Green
Product Description
A forest green, deep and cool, set against bright silver.
Green bands patterned in fine gold alternate with broad stripes of silver tissue down the body. Tissue is cloth with zari carried through the weave, so it shines across its whole surface. The pallu becomes one wide panel of silver tissue, edged in gold and closed by a plain green end.
Silver keeps the green from turning heavy, so the saree reads fresh rather than formal.
This saree is an imitation of Muga silk, the golden wild silk of Assam, woven wholly from natural Mulberry silk twisted to give the feel and touch of Muga. It remains 100% pure silk. From our own looms in Banaras. 6.5 metres in all, including the unstitched blouse piece.
Fabric: Pure Mulberry Silk
Length: 6.5 metres, with matching blouse piece
