Product Description

A bright azure, the clear blue of an open sky.

Small butis are set in close rows across the body. The border is a broad band of flowers and vines. The pallu frames a column of tall paisleys inside a woven grid of squares.

Every motif is woven in reshmi zari, the silk thread zari of Banaras, so the pattern carries a soft sheen rather than a metallic one.

From our own looms in Banaras. 6.5 metres in all, including the unstitched blouse piece.

Fabric: Pure Tassar Silk

Length: 6.5 metres, with matching blouse piece
