Product Description

A deep festive red, set against bright gold.

Broad stripes of red and gold run the length of the body. The border closes each end with a band of gold. The pallu opens into a dense jaal of gold flowers and leaves, a woven net of pattern, beside a plain red end panel.

The stripes keep a strict rhythm, and the floral pallu arrives as the release.

This saree is an imitation of Muga silk, the golden wild silk of Assam, woven wholly from natural Mulberry silk twisted to give the feel and touch of Muga. It remains 100% pure silk. From our own looms in Banaras. 6.5 metres in all, including the unstitched blouse piece.
