The pallu opens into one wide panel of gold tissue, closed by a plain maroon end.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eAgainst so dark a red the gold reads almost rose, which softens the whole saree.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eThis saree is an imitation of Muga silk, the golden wild silk of Assam, woven wholly from natural Mulberry silk twisted to give the feel and touch of Muga. It remains 100% pure silk.
